About Us

The Adelaide University Hockey Club (AUHC) is one of the oldest continuing hockey clubs in South Australia and operates as part of Adelaide University Sport.

At the end of 2025, both the Adelaide University Hockey Club and Uni SA Hockey Club merged to form one of the biggest senior club in the metropolitan competition.

We have over 250 members based all over Adelaide comprising of Adelaide University students, graduates and students of other universities as well as non-students. Our juniors are predominately from the local West Beach area. AUHC is open to all hockey players, not just students and alumni. 

AUHC has men's and women's teams competing in most senior grades in the competition. We participate at the highest level for Men and Women in the Premier League competition.

For 2026, AUHC has entered a total of 12 senior teams:

• Men’s Open Age – 6 teams

• Women’s Open Age – 6 teams

We have also entered U8, and U12 mixed junior teams in 2026.

AUHC (along with AU Sport) own and operate the West Beach Hockey Centre, a facility with an international standard artificial water-based pitch with a fully functioning clubrooms with bar/canteen and changerooms.
