Junior Hockey at AUHC

Adelaide University Hockey Club is growing its junior program and welcoming new and returning players aged 5–14 to join the AUHC community.

Junior Skills Sessions

Our 6-week Junior Hockey Skills Program runs on Thursday afternoons and is suitable for players of all experience levels — from children picking up a hockey stick for the first time to experienced juniors wanting to develop their skills.

Ages 5–14 | All abilities welcome

2027 Junior Teams

AUHC is looking to enter teams across the following age groups:

Under 8
Under 10
Under 12 Mixed
Under 14 Mixed

The junior hockey season commences around the ANZAC Day weekend, with games played on Sunday mornings.

New to Hockey? Come and Give It a Go

Whether your child is an experienced hockey player or looking to try something new, AUHC is a great place to get involved.

Our junior program focuses on developing hockey skills, building confidence, making friends and having fun. We aim to create a welcoming, family-friendly environment both on and off the pitch, with BBQs, social activities and opportunities for children and their friends to be part of the club community.

Equipment

Getting started is easy. AUHC has hockey sticks and shin guards available for junior players, so there's no need to purchase equipment before giving hockey a try.

Players only need to provide their own mouthguard.
